Why HGS CIO is building an internal Gen AI lab

Article originally published on ETCIO

“We’re also building internal generative AI models. There’s a small lab here and one in Austin, Texas. This is probably going to be slightly more expensive and slightly less accurate but even then, certain clients will be compelled to use it. We also have to have the hybrid model, open-source AI models on a subscription basis and an internal AI model. So that the data doesn’t go out. Depending on the customer situation, we will use it. For the early warning system, we shortlist 30 different factors and using statistical analysis, identify the top five-six such as right from attendance, productivity, quality of responses, internal surveys, etc. which explains 90% of the behavior. We measure candidates on those parameters.”
